| Why when I send sms messages they are not received? |
Group SMS Messaging uses a technique called Email 2 SMS, which sends an email to our provider to send the SMS.
If you have a Firewall installed, for example Zone Alarm Pro, this can interfere with the sending of the email to our provider. You must disable this for Group SMS Messaging and also allow it to communicate with the internet. |

| Yes, you can configure the software so personnel can be in numerous groups |

| Do messages get delivered instantaneously? |
| The messages that you send leave the software in just one instruction, Group Text Messaging works with an SMS gateway for the messages to be passed through to the mobile networks, it really depends on how busy the gateway servers are at the time but generally messages are delivered within a few seconds of being sent. |

| How much do messages cost? |
| Accusoftware has brokered a deal with Kapow in the UK for messages so our software has been designed to work together with Kapow, messages range in price depending on the amount of credits you purchase. prices can start from 4.5p each credit |

| Yes, you can import names and mobile phone numbers from other databases, Group Text Messenger allows CSV (comma separated) format and Text (TXT) |

| I do not live in the UK will the software still work? |
| Yes, Group text messaging is connected to one of the leading SMS gateways in the UK reaching over 300 networks worldwide, to be able to use our software just insert the country telephone code at the front of the number, for instance if the cell phone is in the USA just insert the number 1 before the normal number, this tells the gateway which country to send the message to, As all credits are exactly the same price (starting at 4.5p) per message you can text messages to anywhere in the world without breaking your bank balance. |

| How does Task Manager work? |
| Task Manager is client/server technology which means every computer within the organisation has a small client installed, this communicates with the server application to transfer the requests and tasks. The client software can be installed automatically via the group policy. |

| What does the User see? |
| Normal users will see a small computer icon in their task bar, when clicked a small interface appears where a few details are collected from the user when sent an email is automatically sent informing them of ticket number and acting as a request receipt. Admin users not only get the client but also get the administration screen, which has all the details of all tasks and requests. |

| Yes, any number of people can be allocated to the same task or request |

| Yes, as soon as the task or request is allocated to somebody, timers within the software are activated and when the request is satisfied times are shown |

| Yes, task manger uses SQL server 2000 as its backbone and this needs to be installed before Task Manager can be installed, there is another version under development at the moment that will take this dependency away |

| Yes, users are authenticated via their windows login, to provide transparent security. Actions such as the ability to edit personnel records can be assigned to individuals or groups of users. |

| Yes, the software contains fully integrated archive and restore capabilities that allow users to point and click at any job-based file to schedule it for archive, or request that it be restored. This makes the administrator's life much easier, because there is no confusion between the user and administrator as to which file(s) should be restored. |

| How many zones does Vortex have? |
| Vortex has 5 main zones but has unlimited sub zones, zones and sub zones can be named to an individual companies specifications and branded. New main zones could be added but this would incur development costs |

| Who hosts Vortex? |
| Ideally vortex is hosted by us, this allows us to update the components easily so users benefit from the changes we make to the system very quickly, however the vortex package can be hosted on any webserver |

| Do any additional components cost more? |
| When you purchase vortex, there is a cost for the initial package which includes the first years hosting and updates, there are additional charges (yearly) but this is a fraction of the initial cost. |

| Does the email component allow Spam mail? |
| The email component will only allow mail to be sent to the people listed in the (To) combo box, also as usernames and passwords are needed to enter Vortex Spam mail should not be an issue |

| Is there any size restrictions for uploading? |
| No, there are no size restrictions on the upload component, however it needs to be understood that if there are staff who are in remote locations and have to access vortex with a slow connection, file sizes should be kept low |

| Can anybody upload items into Vortex? |
| This is really the companies choice, remembering that an intranet is only as good as the content that it holds, we have found the best way to deal with this is to allow key people to the upload component, as uploading documents to the system is very fast this does not normally impact the normal workloads. |
